Erasmus Mundus Master in WOP-P and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The Erasmus Mundus Master in Work, Organizational, and Personnel Psychology (WOP-P), coordinated by the University of Valencia, will promote in its next edition the contents connected with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and with digitization.
The WOP-P master has obtained the Erasmus Mundus recognition for four more editions and as explained by Professor Nuria Tordera, local coordinator of the master at the University of Valencia, “in accordance with the requirements of our program, a new educational and High quality wants to emphasize the discipline’s connection with the sustainable development goals (SDG) and digitization in the master’s curriculum, as well as the generation and development of new ideas for their inclusion “. As part of the implementation work of this proposal, during the month of June different coordination actions were held between the European universities that are part of the consortium: the University of Barcelona, University of Bologna, Coimbra University, and the University of Valencia. The session began with a reflection on the previous year, the objectives achieved and the feedback received from the student body. This was followed by a general presentation of the changes incorporated in the fourth edition with special emphasis on sustainable development goals and digitization. Subsequently, the activities of reflection and work in small groups began. Throughout the session, contributions to the SDGs were shared. These include contributions to goals 3, health and well-being; 4, quality education; 5, gender equality; 8, decent work and economic growth; and 9, industry, innovation, and infrastructure. Various aspects were also analyzed such as the inclusion of content (well-being and quality of life, ethical leadership, culture or climate for sustainability, social enterprises, social responsibility, and sustainable human resource practices), the use of methodologies (learning, service), the skills developed (interculturality, diversity management, innovation, and development), access to various materials related to the SDGs (case studies, UN documentation), management of the master’s degree itself and results (positions of responsibility, levels of employability and salary by gender). And likewise, contributions to both the development of digital skills and the consideration of digitization in WOP-P were detected, such as the use of virtual work tools, distributed workgroups, and online selection.
