Edita Fino is a Senior Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna, Department of Psychology. From 2017 to 2022 she worked as a Research Fellow with the Department of Diagnostic, Experimental, and Specialty Medicine (DIMES), at Bologna University. During 2017-2018 she served as a Consultant for refugee mental health and psychosocial support issues with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and from 2019 – 2021 she was a Consultant with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Prior to that, she has also served with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK). She has been a certificate program fellow at the University of Basel, Switzerland (2009) and a summer school fellow at the University of Stanford, USA (2010) and at the University of Geneva, Switzerland (2013). Her research interests focus on social, interpersonal, and inter-group processes and the role these factors play in boosting or undermining health and well-being outcomes. She studies these issues in hard-to-reach populations (i.e., patients, refugees, migrants) and professional groups (i.e., healthcare workers and students of medical sciences).
