Alicia Salvador Fernández-Montejo is full Professor in Psychobiology at the University of Valencia. She has published numerous research studies in international scientific journals such as Neuroscience and Biobehavioral Reviews, Psychoneuroendocrinology, Biological Psychology, Hormones and Behaviour, etc. She coordinates several research projects about the impact of social stress on cognitive and affective dimensions employing several biomarkers and taking in account age, sex/gender and personality traits as moderating factors. She has studied the biological basis of several ethologically relevant behaviours such as competitive and cooperative behaviour. Prof. Salvador served as President of the Spanish Society of Psychophysiology and Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Union of Psychological Science. She is a member of the Spanish Academy of Psychology (medal 10).
