University of Baltimore,USATom Mitchell is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Baltimore where he has been the Director of the master’s degree Program in Industrial and organizational psychology, a position he has held over the past three decades. He began his teaching career at Louisiana Tech University where he taught courses in I/O and social psychology. In addition to teaching master’s level I/O courses in both personnel and organizational psychology at UB, he has consulted with private and public sector organizations.
As a Research Fellow with the Schaefer Center for Public Policy at the University of Baltimore, he consults with companies in the private sector and state agencies, conducting applied research in the areas of succession planning, test validation, employee engagement and job redesign. Dr Mitchell holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology and a doctorate degree in social psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a member of SIOP and APS.
